4th November 2024: The Sri Lankan Majlis Qatar (SLMQ) extended its support to the children of Gaza evacuees currently residing in the Gazan Evacuees Compound in Qatar. The executive committee visited the compound and donated tables and chairs to enhance the children’s activity room in the Volunteer Program Building. Through this donation, the SLMQ has addressed a much-needed requirement, creating a welcoming and functional space for the children to engage in activities, learn, and play.
The newly equipped activity room gives these young minds a sense of normalcy and comfort amidst their traumatic circumstances.
SLMQ remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting communities in need through impactful initiatives that inspire hope and positivity. This gesture reflects the power of community and collective responsibility, underscoring SLMQ’s dedication to welfare and education for those in need.
