Established with the goal of supporting individuals affected by the 30-year civil conflict and the devastating tsunami, the Centre empowers women by providing them with vocational training to become entrepreneurs and achieve self-sufficiency. The institute offers a variety of specialized programs, including tailoring, cooking, weaving, bag-making, Islamic education, English language instruction, and beauty arts.
Recognizing the needs of this vital institution, SLMQ has identified essential materials and equipment required to enhance the training and support offered at the centre. This initiative aims to further uplift the community by equipping women with the skills they need to build better lives for themselves and their families. To further enhance the training and support provided, equipment valued at Rs 500,000 has been supplied to the centre, ensuring its smooth operation and effective delivery of courses.
