SLMQ conducted its Independence Day Competitions among Sri Lankan children living in Qatar for the 16th consecutive year on Friday, 23rd of February 2018 at the Sri Lankan Embassy premises.
The competitions included Public Speaking and Colouring, while the Essay Writing and Drawing Competitions were concluded earlier on 09th of February, 2018 at Stafford Sri Lankan School.
The public speaking competition was adjudged by senior Toastmasters from Doha Toastmasters Club, while Art and Drawing professionals from Sri Lankan School adjudged drawing and coloring competitions. Two senior academics judged the Essay writing competition. The prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners by Mr. Kohularangan the Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of Sri Lanka.
