Many areas of Sri Lanka experienced a massive torrential downpour in the month of May, 2017 and some areas experienced
floods, landslides, and high winds, causing extensive property damage and making many people temporarily displaced.
SLMQ joined hands with the Federation of Sri Lankan Muslim Associations (FSMA) to distribute flood relief to the affected communities in Matara and Ratnapura Districts. As mentioned earlier, The SLMQ decided to donate all funds earmarked for the SLMQ Family Ifthar towards the flood relief efforts in Sri Lanka.
