SLMQ hosted an event to mark the Qatar National Sports Day at Sumaisma Youth Center for its member families on Friday, 31 March 2017 from 2.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. The event was originally planned to be held on the Qatar National Sports but was
postponed due to bad weather conditions that prevailed at the time.
The event included separate sports activities for Ladies, Gents and children. The gents’ sport activities included Elle (the Sri Lankan version of Baseball type sport), and other traditional sports and fun games of Sri Lanka. The Ladies’ had their activities separately including fund games and other traditional sports. The boys’ and girls’ had their share of activities in 25, 50 meter races, ball passing, badminton and basketball.
